At The Club, we are privileged to provide 3 swimming pools catering to different levels of swimming.
- The 25 metre Olympic size swimming pool has a 7 feet depth and has been widely used for swimming competitions and tournaments at The Club.
- The Wading pool with only 3.5 feet depth is ideal for water walking, aqua aerobics and swimming lessons
- An additional Children’s pool with a depth of 1.5 feet is perfectly suited to introduce children below 3 years to water and swimming. Pool Timings: 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
Swimming is not merely a recreational sport but an excellent form of keeping fit. It is also a key life skill and just like reading or writing, concepts of basic water safety should be introduced to children at an early age. Swimming lessons also facilitate good technique, improve posture and build up stamina.
We now run a comprehensive swimming school at The Club. Our coach Anand Pardesi, is a national swimmer. He received his certification from World Swimming Coaches Association (WSCA) and has been a coach since 1988. Anand has adopted the American coaching model and developed his own coaching style. He provides swimming lessons at the following levels:
- One to One Personal Coaching
Swimming is one of the best exercises to keep fit. It works your whole body and tones your muscles. It builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
While swimming, every muscle is stretched and every bone is strengthened. Swimming also boosts cognitive functioning, sensory reception and co-ordination due to the dynamic environment. There is no age limit for swimming and since it is a low-impact sport there is no risk of damage. While swimming is more peaceful and relaxed, one can replace rigorous gym regimes with aqua aerobics.
