Bharat is based in Mumbai and involved with the strategic initiatives in the business. He was an Executive Managing Director and co-founder of Och-Ziff Asia Real Estate, responsible for building out the platform in India. He spent seven years at Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing business, where he was an Executive Director and Head for India. He oversaw a team of 12 professionals and invested over US$700 million of equity.
Bharat has been an active board member on all of the investee companies, assisting the CEOs of these companies on capital raising and strategic initiatives. Prior to moving to India with Morgan Stanley, he worked in their New York office, where he evaluated and invested in real estate opportunities throughout the United States. Mr. Khanna received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration with Distinction, from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. Bharat is an active member of the Young President’s Organization and Entrepreneur’s Organization in India.
